What are the most formidable challenges inherent to the profession of filmmaking?

Lack of opportunity to film, that is, there is no equipment, sufficient budget for the project or the ability to draw up documents regarding copyright These are just a few of the many difficulties

 

 

 

 

 

 

Could you elaborate on the wellspring of your creative inspiration for this particular short film?

This story is based on real events. this story happened to my mother, just like in the film, when I first heard this story, I so badly wanted to embody it and shoot it as a short film.

Could you elucidate on the central thematic underpinning of your film?

personally, I think a lot of things, a child’s fantasy, words and actions can influence this fantasy, family love, whatever it may be, pure kindness

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How do you navigate the task of strategizing cost-effective promotional efforts when operating within a constrained budget?

we collected the film’s budget from our own pockets and it was small, since there were no sponsors, so we tried to save a lot in everything. We borrowed some of the equipment for the project from our acquaintances and friends; the house where the film was filmed was also free, team of 10-12 people

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In today's dynamic marketplace, how pivotal do you consider the role of film distribution?

Of course, film distribution is needed nowadays, very much so, but we must not forget about the creation of cinema, this is first and foremost a creation, an art, and not a business or the like

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For individuals contemplating the path of self-distribution, what counsel or insights can you offer?

read and study a lot about themselves and around them, work on themselves in all directions that interest them, do not forget that people around them are also living this life for the first time just like them

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In your estimation, what level of significance do short films hold for aspiring filmmakers seeking to embark on a career in directing?

10/10 this is a very important stage, I think that sometimes short films are more difficult to make than even a full-length feature

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reflecting on your professional journey thus far, could you share an instance of the most formidable challenge you encountered and how you surmounted it?

I would say one of the difficulties for me is to use music in a film, that is, I realized that music in a film is not just the sound of a melody, but a much more important element and merging with the mood and character of the film

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What, in your view, are the critical factors that contribute to the creation of a cinematic masterpiece?

I’ll just say the script, script and script

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you could revisit the inception of your career, are there any aspects or decisions you would choose to alter in hindsight?

I would study all the possibilities of correct editing (since I edited it myself and now I think that it was possible to edit even better) work with composers and more or less finalize the script so that absolutely everyone could understand the story even without subtitles
